How does it work?
It’s a gap plan that covers medical services that fall under the major medical plan’s deductible and coinsurance. How much? Up to $5,000 of your employees’ inpatient expenses, and up to $2,500 of outpatient expenses. It is designed to cover the things that your major medical plan doesn’t cover in full... like deductibles and coinsurance expenses that come from urgent care visits, lab work, x-rays, emergency room visits, surgeries, hospitalizations, and much more.
